We took Brady and Kyla on a gorgeous fall walk this Sunday to Morse Mountain in Phippsburg, Maine. Seriously, we could not have asked for a more spectacular day. It was a peaceful 2 mile walk through the woods to an untouched beach. It was beautiful and the kids could have run for miles. We were able to capture this precious moment with the two of them.

| Sugarloaf family weekend |
Bryan and I took Brady and Kyla to Sugarloaf for the long weekend. It was a much needed mini-vacation for the family. The weather was perfect, the air was fresh and crisp, everything was green and there wasn't a cloud in the bright blue sky. We had many adventures starting with a hike along to the spectacular Poplar Stream Falls trail and up to the hut on the Maine Huts and Trails for lunch. The falls were beatiful and the trails were just as spectacular. Later in the day after a much needed rest for our adventurous children, we made our way up to Sugarloaf Mtn where Brady kept asking where the snow was so he could ski. The next day it was an early start for what we thought would be a quick stroll down the Narrow Gauge Trail. Joke was on us. Brady and Kyla picked up everything they could find, touched everything that looked new and even a little skinny dippin in the Carrabasset (for the kids of course). What an adventure. Bryan and I felt so proud and so very happy to be there. We loved the trails and rested peacefully at Mambo. We will be looking forward to the next time up hopefully with the rest of the family. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, Sugarloaf/Mambo continues to be such an important part of our lives.

Brady's bed is now Kyla's bed
After a very long attempt of patiently trying to talk Kyla into staying in her new bed and not getting out, we finally take a deep breath realizing it's silent, YES they both must finally be asleep. We walk in to check on them only to find this...Kyla asleep on her brothers bed. Sibling love at its purest.

We're ready for Spring!
Our first family outing around back cove in Portland. It was a lovely day our first one of the year. Brady and Kyla had a blast just to be out in the open able to run and laugh. I think Brady ran close to a 1/4 of a mile. While Kyla was fasinated with the water and the birds. We just won't tell anyone that we jumped the fence so the kids could play in the playground. That's okay right?

Tone def - Kreggie style
The newest, and I must say, greatest game (of many) Nikki has created in her lifetime. "Tone def" aka i-pod karaoke. The entertainer wears the headphones while the rest of the crowd sits back and laughs, a lot.

'lil skiers
What a trip to Sugarloaf with the whole Harvie family. What started as a big adventure, turned into an unforgettable memory, one that will bring smiles to our faces and remind us years to come how fortunate we are. The kids were amazing, laughter everywhere. They were anxious to hit the slopes and be "the best skier of them all". There is no competitive blood what so ever in these children. Click play on the slide show below to enjoy a few pics.
